At Hartbeespoort Cycling we believe that all members should have a great experience when it comes to riding a bike. It’s imperative that your experience as a club member be enjoyable and fun. Being a club member will certainly improve your riding experience.

Group Rides For Mountain Bike Riders
Upon joining the club you will be added to the whatsapp group who arranges group rides on a weekly basis. These range from groups who accommodate beginners to training for stage races like Sani2C and the Epic.
Group rides for Road Cyclists
Upon joining the club you will be added to the whatsapp group who arranges group rides on a weekly basis. A Support vehicle accompanies these riders and they focus on preparing for upcoming races.
We know that road cycling has unique obstacles and the management team is commited to support and grow this discipline with proper support and development programmes.

General preparation for Group Rides
Always ensure that you carry the following:

Tubes - ensure it is the correct size and the correct valve is used

Pump/bombs. 16g or 2 x 12g for 29er wheels

Plugs - for tubeless mtb tires

Tire levers· A small multi-tool
-
Chain link that is correct for the chain you are using

Sufficient nutrition - energy bars food etc.

Sufficient energy drinks and water. If you are planning on a long ride and cannot carry sufficient fluids, plan your route to pass places where you can purchase or fill up

A small amount of cash in notes for emergencies.

A charged cell phone
